Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the tnvysya.com websites — including yw.tnvysya.com, ecensus.yw.tnvysya.com, pelli.yw.tnvysya.com and the Vysya Pelli mobile app — operated by the Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Maha Sabha Youth Wing (TNAVMSYW). By browsing the sites, creating an account, or submitting any form, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the sites.

They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, the Jadhagam (Vysya Pelli) Terms and the Disclaimer, all of which form part of these terms.

1. Who may use the sites

• Anyone may browse the public pages.
• To register in the eCensus you must be a member of the Arya Vysya community of Tamil Nadu (or otherwise eligible under the wing's rules), and you must be 18 years or older. A person below 18 may be registered only by, or with the consent of, a parent or lawful guardian.
• To post a Jadhagam (matrimonial) profile, the person the profile describes must have attained the legal age of marriage in India — 21 for men, 18 for women.

2. Your account

• Give accurate details when registering and keep them current. Registrations are reviewed by office bearers before approval, and accounts created with false particulars may be rejected or suspended.
• Your eCensus ID, username, email or mobile number together with your password is your login. You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account. Do not share your login.
• Family members may share a mobile number or email address, but every person has their own account and password.
• Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. Changing your password signs you out of every other device.
• Office-bearer roles and console access are granted by the wing through its postings and may be changed or revoked at its discretion.

3. Accuracy of what you submit

You are solely responsible for the truth and completeness of everything you submit — eCensus details, event registrations, reports, photographs and, above all, jadhagam particulars.

TNAVMSYW approves Jadhagam profiles to confirm they belong to a registered community member, but does not verify or authenticate the details in any profile — not the horoscope, not the education or income, not the family background, and not the photograph. Families must satisfy themselves independently before proceeding with any alliance. Submitting knowingly false particulars is a serious breach of these terms and may also be an offence under Indian law.

4. Acceptable use

When using the sites and the app, you must not:

• Post or submit anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or that incites hatred against any person or group.
• Impersonate another person, or register or submit a profile or photograph of someone else without their knowledge and consent.
• Use contact details, jadhagam profiles or member information obtained through the sites for marketing, solicitation, matrimonial-broking for commercial gain, or any purpose other than the one for which they were shared.
• Scrape, harvest, bulk-download or systematically copy content or member data by any automated means.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the sites, another person's account, or our underlying systems; probe or test their security; or interfere with their normal operation.
• Upload anything containing a virus, malware or other harmful code.
• Demand or offer money, dowry, or any other consideration in connection with an alliance introduced through the service. Demanding or giving dowry is an offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

5. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload. By uploading, you grant TNAVMSYW a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose for which you submitted it — for example, showing an event photograph in the gallery, or showing a jadhagam to approved members looking for an alliance.

You confirm that you own the content or have permission to upload it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. If a photograph shows other identifiable people, you confirm they are content to appear on the sites. We will remove any photograph on the reasonable request of a person appearing in it.

6. Our content

The name, emblem, text, design and other material on the sites belong to TNAVMSYW or its licensors, and the platform's software and design belong to its developer. You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, sell or reproduce the sites' content commercially without written permission.

7. Availability

The sites and the app are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and are run by volunteers of the youth wing. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any feature — including the Jadhagam (Vysya Pelli) service — at any time without notice.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete an account, and remove any content, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, if the details submitted are false, or if the conduct in question harms other members or the wing. You may ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time from the Delete my data option on your account page, or by writing to [email protected].

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNAVMSYW, its office bearers and volunteers are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the sites, from reliance on information published on them, or from any dealings — matrimonial or otherwise — between members introduced through them. Our full position is set out in the Disclaimer.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify TNAVMSYW and its office bearers against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, from content you submitted, or from your misuse of information obtained through the sites.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the sites.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. A revised version is published here with a new version number and effective date; where the change is material, we will ask registered members to accept the new version when they next sign in.
